KM Class of ’67 Reunion Committee

Notes of July 11, 2022 Zoom Meeting

In Attendance: Dave Johnson, Antonette Kahoun-Benham, Linda Knapp Rogers, Louise Trumble 

June 16^th meeting minutes approved.

Financial report:

Checking Balance $4,672.29**

Savings (account holder) $       5.00

Scholarship Fund Balance $1,165.00

**With information currently available, expect $3,050 plus tax and service fees to be expended from account for dinners.

55^th Reunion Update:

• Update on attendees for the 3 events:
  • Friday evening event 31 coming
  • Saturday main event 61 coming, of which 5 will pay at the door
  • Sunday breakfast 21 coming, 
• Friday, Sept 16^th – 6 PM at Azteca across from KM High School. No host bar. Possible KM banner to put up with 3M Command strips. Antonette will find out the banner size, and Dave will verify we can put up this banner.
• Saturday, Sept 17^th – 6 PM main event at Fairwood Golf Course
• Sunday, Sept 18^th – 9:30 AM at Golden Steer for send-off breakfast. No host; order off the menu

Other Items of Note:

• Drop in attendees who do not want to eat will pay $35 at the door
• Attendees who want to eat will pay $80 at the door
• Antonette will prepare name badges for all attendees.
• Two gift boxes will be purchased from Registration proceeds, one $100 and one $50. “Raffle Ticket” will be placed in each badge with corresponding half in “hat”. Numbers will be drawn, and winners announced at Saturday’s main event. Gift boxes will be mailed to “winners”. Linda will assist.
• If we hear of any classmates wanting to attend but are financially challenged are to be encouraged to contact Antonette, or we can notify Antonette with the information. Antonette will work with the individual CONFIDENTIALLY to help the financially challenged individual through our Scholarship funds.
• Help needs for Saturday’s event;
  • One to assist Francine set up memorial table
  • One to assist Melanie set up memorabilia table
  • Sherry Moon from class of ’66 will be able to have at least two people assist
  • Linda and her sister Theresa will also assist; Theresa will also assist at Registration table

• Dates for notifying venue of attendee numbers are rapidly approaching; two weeks from the event she must give expected number of dinners; one week confirm final anticipated attendees. 
• Friday night: 
  •  Antonette will provide and distribute a list of deceased classmates. As of current information available, 102 classmates have passed on.
  • Melanie will do some memorabilia
