Kent-Meridian Class of 1967 Reunion Planning Committee
Jan. 27, 2021
Zoom Meeting
Attendees: Dave Johnson; Antonette (Kahoun) Benham; Kathy (Gregory) Pickard; Loiuse (Trumble) Schmutzler; Leslie (Moon) Meisner; Alyce (Slightam) Foster; Linda Knapp-Rogers
MINUTES
- Minutes from our last meeting were accepted.
- Budget – We have $3,347.54 in our bank account. The only expense since the last meeting was our annual $19.67 contribution to the Kent Historical Society.
- Possible 54th reunion at The Apogee on 9/18 at 5:00, although we may look for an informal venue that has an outside eating area. This will be an informal gathering, with dinner/drinks on your own.
- 55th year reunion – The Emerald Queen is not taking reservations at this time. Other possibilities are Meridian Valley Country Club and Fountain Head NW. Antonette will check on prices. Leslie brought up the issue of whether cost would eliminate some who might otherwise want to come. We decided to check with our classmates through a survey (either via e-mail or U.S. mail) about their thoughts on a 55th reunion to see what price range would be acceptable for them. Antonette will get the survey sent out. We will table any further discussion about venues until we get results back from our classmates. The survey will also guide us on how fancy our classmates might want the 54th and 55th reunions to be.
- We had a discussion about our facebook page, including
- Do we need to post provisions for appropriate content of comments?
- How about guidelines for appropriate interaction?
- Dave and Antonette will check our group on facebook.
- On a side note – Susan Moore has moved to Utah, so she will not be on our planning committee any longer.
- Our next meeting will be Monday, March 29th at 6:30.
It is with much sorrow I am responding to say my husband, of 52 years Derald Smith passed away on July 14, 2020.

Thanks you Sheryl … so sorry for your loss. I have passed this information on to Antonette Kahoun Benham and Francine Conwell Nelsen as they are tracking our deceased KM 67 classmates.
