Here is a local history book for those who grew up in the Plateau area east of Kent. The Author, Morris Willard Skagen, great grandson of Ole and Anna who settled in Kent in 1890, has written “A History of the Soos Creek Plateau” covering the years from 1860 to 1960.During these years, most of the plateau, which covers an area of about 70 square miles, was served by the Kent Post Office, including Covington and Lea Hill. The price of the book is $20.00. Sales proceeds go to support the Soos Creek Botanical Garden and Heritage Center.
